An opportunity has now arisen for a Hydraulics Technical Support Engineer to join their Technical Support team.

This role would suit an experienced engineer with a background in working with off-highway, construction, agricultural and industrial hydraulic systems.

As a Hydraulics Technical Support Engineer you will be responsible for providing full technical support to both customers and internal departments.

Your duties will include:

- reviewing, advising and processing system design requests for new applications and product development

- proposing cost effective solutions to system requirements

- answering technical questions on hydraulic products, application and system recommendations

- developing and testing custom hydraulic integrated circuits to meet customer requirements

- providing field support for installation and hands-on troubleshooting of hydraulic integrated circuits and control systems

- integrating electro-hydraulic control systems with OEM specific electronic architecture

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- at a minimum, an HNC or HND (or equivalent) in a mechanical or hydraulic engineering discipline

- experience of working with off-highway, construction, agricultural and industrial hydraulic systems

- a thorough understanding of the hydraulics industry

As the Hydraulics Technical Support Engineer you will also need to be an excellent communicator with the ability to express ideas, share technical information and communicate at all levels. A high degree of self-motivation is also needed as is the ability to work unsupervised.

Whilst not essential, experience of using hydraulic test equipment would be beneficial to your application, as would a good level of computer literacy, including Microsoft packages and manufacturing systems such as FourthShift.
